Eager but wary to read

The Unwinding: An Inner History of the New America - George Packer

Part of me is eager to add this book to my reading list, especially after the glowing review on the front page of the New York Times, but the other part of me is wary, very wary, to read a book about the decline of the US and the rise of banks, big money, lobbyists, and politicians willing to help the rich at the expense of the rest of us.

It's like, you know how screwed up things are in this country, but do you REALLY want to know just how screwed up they are?
